Therefore, when shock absorbers experience oil leakage issues, it not only affects the damping effect of the vehicle but may also lead to a series of safety hazards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, what are the possible reasons that may cause oil leakage in car shock absorbers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong><strong>Aging of sealing components<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The oil seal (usually made of rubber) is a critical component to prevent internal oil leakage of shock absorbers. However, after long-term use, the rubber may harden, crack due to high temperatures, oxidation, or repeated friction, making it unable to seal effectively, leading to oil leakage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong><strong>Damage to the piston rod<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the surface of the piston rod is scratched by foreign objects (such as flying stones) or bent due to impact, during subsequent movement, the piston rod will act like a &#8220;saw,&#8221; scratching the inner wall of the oil seal.
